Tim Nussbaumer (Pastor/Elder)
Tim met Robin, the girl of his dreams, at Union University when he was 22. They tied the knot at a small church in Jackson, Tennessee and now have two kids: Ian (a Star Wars loving, karate-kickin' kid) and Emma (a no fear type of girl with a very loud toddler scream). After 10 years as a student pastor, they got the crazy idea to move to New Jersey and help plant a church. God was in this and they feel very blessed to see what He is doing here. In his "free" time, Tim likes to read, play with the kids, and follow college football. Robin is a part-time exercise physiologist and full-time mom.
Thomas Wong (Pastor/Elder)
Thomas was born overseas but grew up in the DC Metro area. He and Suzy married in ’94 and are the proud parents of 5 boys, so don’t be surprised if you find him with a kid in his hands. The Wongs reside in East Brunswick but you’re more likely to run into them at the beach, on the soccer field, basketball or golf course, or Target. And they love hanging out with friends in the backyard enjoying a meal together.
Jon Zila (Elder)
Jon was born and raised in Georgia and became a Christian during high-school. In August of 2004, he and his wife Jennifer moved to New Brunswick, NJ to help start The Point Church. He was ordained in 2008 and serves alongside Tim and Thomas in a bi-vocational role-- he spends his Monday through Fridays working for Simplyhired.com. Most enjoyably, Jon and his high-school sweetheart Jen delight in raising their one daughter, Haven, who was born in 2008.
Howie Chen (Youth/Admin Director)
Howie was born and raised in New Jersey and proud of it. He went to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for college. After he graduated he came home to marry the love of his life, Diana and now both live in East Brunswick. He currently serves as the Youth Director/Designer/Odds and Ends guy here at the Point Community Church. He also does wedding photography for a company he started called Dreamlite Photography. While he's not doing those things he likes to spends his time with his wife and child and the second love of his life following the Yankees and Apple.
